Knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required; Master’s preferred. Extensive understanding of engineering principles, medical device development, and customer-centric design. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, joining methods, rapid prototyping). Familiarity with risk management tools and product lifecycle best practices. Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), tolerance stack ups, DFM, and GD&T. Knowledge of experimental, computational, and analytical methods, including DFSS, DOE, and MiniTab. Skills
Action-oriented with a keen attention to detail and a strong aptitude for technical learning. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage deliverables to meet milestones. Skilled in technical writing, able to author protocols, reports, and risk documentation with minimal guidance. Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to resolve complex technical challenges using innovative solutions. Effective communicator who can present technical information to diverse audiences. 5+ years in medical device product development with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1-3 years with a Master’s degree. Proven track record of leading small to medium-sized engineering projects, including subsystem ownership. Experience preparing comprehensive project documentation and supporting manufacturing transfer activities. Demonstrated success in applying broad technical expertise to solve complex problems and develop innovative products. Additional Requirements
Ability to work flexible hours and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Ability to travel up to 10% as needed. So why join Hologic?
