We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. This hybrid role involves both engineering-level problem-solving and technician-level hands-on work in support of electrical systems across our site.
Responsibilities
Assisting in the design, layout, and development of electrical circuits, systems, and controls.
Installing, testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment, including wiring, panels, and control systems.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting and system upgrades.
Managing calibration and test equipment programs to ensure compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Supporting project engineers with component selection, system integration, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performing reporting and data analysis from the CMMS system (SAP) to drive maintenance and reliability decisions.
Overseeing external vendor preventive maintenance activities and maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection records.
Leading improvement initiatives based on Management of Change (MOC) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
Supporting maintenance training, development, and adherence to safety codes, regulations, and company procedures (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Certified Engineering Technician, or equivalent) as an asset.
Strong hands-on experience with electrical systems, tools, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, meggers).
Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical) and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
The capability to provide leadership and resolve technical issues with a focus on maintenance reliability and process optimization.
The ability to prepare technical reports focused on investment, cost, and payback.
Proficiency in PDM development, SAP-PM, and SAP spare parts management, along with the physical ability to move around the site and perform required tasks.
Preferred Experience
2+ years of experience in an electrical engineering or technician role.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial automation, or control systems.
Experience working with DCS systems, motor control centers, and instrumentation.
Experience with SAP.
