Responsible for the structural design of new software systems or extensive software revisions. Analyzes software requirements and defines system components to ensure efficient and scalable software architecture. Creates and maintains architecture documentation such as design specifications and diagrams to guide future maintenance and development. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Typically reports to a person who typically has people report to them. Knowledge and innovative thinking. Provides thought leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization. Software Architect I: $65,500.00-$81,800.00 Software Architect II: $81,400.00-$105,400.00 Software Architect III: $104,100.00-$131,200.00 Software Architect IV: $129,700.00-$159,900.00 Software Architect V: $150,500.00-$184,700.00 Software Architect VI: $179,000.00-$225,700.00 Position Levels

Software Architect I: Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0 to 2 years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Software Architect II: Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Typically requires sponsorship from more senior Architects or management. Software Architect III: Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience. Typically requires sponsorship from more senior Architects or management. Software Architect IV: Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role of the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience. Software Architect V: Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience. Software Architect VI: Typically requires 12+ years of related experience. Achievement and depth of knowledge of specialization or field is the main differentiator. Advisory role on complex and challenging projects and initiatives. Recognized for deep technical and industry knowledge and innovative thinking. Provides thought leadership and guidance to a functional area and the organization. Other Requirements
