We are actively seeking a Director & Actuary to join our Life Insurance Pricing team in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. This role follows a hybrid schedule of four days in the office. Candidates open to relocating to either location are encouraged to apply.

As a Director & Actuary - Life Pricing, you will lead product development initiatives for our life insurance business, working closely with Pricing and Product Development, Risk Management, Modeling, and Sales within the Consumer Market Division and across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a pricing team; oversee product pricing activities and perform analysis requiring pricing expertise.

Lead product pricing, support product implementation, and execute project plans with on-time, high-quality deliveries.

Stay current with regulatory changes and other pricing or risk management developments that could impact our product lines.

Ensure product development follows pricing guidelines, meets regulatory requirements, and meets internal profit/risk governance standards; secure all required product approvals.

Collaborate with stakeholders including marketing/sales, investment management, valuation, risk management, legal, and operations to balance competitiveness, profitability, and risk for priced products.

Work with a team of support staff to grow talent and provide development advice and support.

Qualifications

FSA with 6+ years of related experience in actuarial pricing and product development.

Direct experience developing life insurance products.

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

Strong management, team-building, and communication skills.

Excellent project management and business partnering abilities.

Proven leadership with a strong sense of urgency.

Ability to understand the big picture and mobilize initiatives in ambiguous situations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Base Pay Range The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$198,810.00 - $242,990.00
