Overview

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with New York City Health + Hospitals Queens Hospital Center (QHC) has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director of SUD Services. QHC serves the culturally diverse community of Eastern Queens and is seeking a full-time Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist with Addiction Psychiatry Board Certification. The SUD Services include Ambulatory Care Services with Medically Supervised Outpatient Program, ED LEADS and opportunities to participate in new initiatives including Addiction Response Team ART Services to QHC clients. The Director is responsible for the administration, planning, organization and overall general management of QHC SUD Services. The Director will join the Medical leadership team of Behavioral Health, participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings and report to the Chief of Psychiatry. Responsibilities

Provide leadership and overall management of QHC SUD Services, including ambulatory care, ED initiatives, and new program opportunities. Participate in quality assurance and incident review management meetings as part of the Behavioral Health leadership team. Collaborate with the Chief of Psychiatry and academic leadership to advance SUD services within the institution. Qualifications

MD/DO degree and Board Certification with a valid New York State license, DEA and Medicaid number. Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. Strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, and communication/interpersonal skills. Prior management/leadership experience; experience with academic medical centers and/or public health systems preferred. Appointment and Education

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. H+H Queens/Mt.
