Survey Manager
to oversee survey operations and project delivery for high-profile private land development and public works projects in the San Diego region. This is a leadership role with opportunities for mentorship, career growth, and significant impact on the success of complex surveying initiatives. Why This Role Is Exciting: Lead and mentor a team of survey professionals on landmark projects in San Diego. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality survey data and mapping solutions. Manage project schedules, budgets, and goals while ensuring regulatory compliance. Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and involvement in business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Provide direction, support, and mentorship to junior survey staff. Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and time management. Manage client interactions, ensuring projects meet expectations on time and within budget. Contribute to business development, proposal writing, and project estimating. Technical Expertise: Prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, as-built surveys, subdivision maps, and other survey deliverables. Process survey submittals with city and county agencies. Conduct mapping research, boundary analysis, calculations, exhibits, and legal description preparation. Apply knowledge of California Subdivision Map Act, Professional Surveyors Act, and local civil codes. Utilize Civil 3D (preferred), MicroStation Inroads (plus), Trimble Business Center, and Carlson software. Maintain familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Bluebeam for project documentation. Qualifications:
Qualifications: California Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required. Minimum of 5 years of office mapping experience in private land development and public works projects.
