About the role

Reporting to the E&I Supervisor; The Lead E&I Technician plays a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing power plant equipment. Working as part of a small team, this role supports the E&I Supervisor in leading daily operations, assigning tasks, and prioritizing maintenance based on plant production needs. This position requires a self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and safely. Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the E&I team in executing preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance. Inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical equipment and instrumentation (primarily 480V, up to 23KV). Maintain and service the Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMs) system. Terminate motors (up to 4160V), install conduit/wiring for new and existing equipment. Read and interpret PLC ladder logic and equipment manuals for technical support and parts ordering. Use ALM (Maintenance Management System) for accessing work orders, submitting requisitions, and documenting work. Equipment Exposure Includes

Hydraulics, fans, pumps, conveyors, refuse cranes PLCs (Allen Bradley: RSView, RSLogix 5000, SLC-500, ControlLogix) VFDs (4160V/480V), crane electrical controls Control valves, damper drives, transmitters (hydraulic/electronic/pneumatic) Switchgear (120V-23KV), MCCs, 125VDC & UPS systems, relay logic Process loop controllers (Moore, Siemens), motors (1-1000 HP, AC/DC) Test equipment (Megger, DLRO, DMM) Software: Microsoft Office Suite, ALM Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial plant maintenance of high-voltage and instrumentation/control systems. High school diploma and valid driver's license required. Master Electrician's License or equivalent technical experience preferred. Additional Expectations

Ability to read and work from P&IDs, schematics, and manuals. Willingness to operate telescoping boom lifts, scissor lifts, and mobile equipment. Must obtain a MA 1C Hoisting License (forklift operation). Available for overtime, on-call shifts, and emergency coverage (nights/weekends/holidays). Will occasionally fill in for the E&I Supervisor, lead safety tailgates, and provide shift turnovers. Work Environment

Must be able to work in extreme conditions (hot, cold, dusty, wet, noisy). Capable of physical labor, including climbing, lifting, and working from heights with fall protection. Must wear respirators and other PPE as required.
