About The Role This electrical engineering role is part of Riot Data Center’s premier engineering team. You will contribute to the technical excellence of hyperscale data center electrical systems, support the development of standards and approval frameworks, and collaborate with internal stakeholders, external design teams, consultants, vendors, and contractors to deliver world‑class electrical infrastructure optimized for AI/ML workloads and mission‑critical operations. The position is based in our Denver office; relocation assistance is available for non‑local candidates.
What You’ll Do
Review and assist in developing electrical drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure optimal system performance and uptime.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, vendors, and contractors to align on design goals, technical requirements, and deliverables.
Support QA/QC processes, review submittals, and contribute to commissioning documentation to maintain high project standards.
Develop technical skills through hands‑on experience with industry standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE), electrical analysis tools, and software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Procore, or CX Alloy.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
4+ years of electrical engineering experience; data center or mission‑critical facilities experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles and power distribution systems.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
Experience with design and project tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Procore, or CX Alloy.
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, teamwork abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
