Job Summary & Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the professional scope of practice as defined by the California Business and Professional Code, demonstrating skills and behaviors that meet a fully competent level of performance as a Radiologic Mammography Technologist. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing precise results for timely and accurate diagnosis. You will also need to enjoy working directly with people as you play a huge role in the patient experience.
Daily Activities
Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician/provider’s practice under the supervision of radiologists, other licensed staff and management.
Help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions.
Apply thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning as per the order.
Assist in preparing patients for radiologic/mammography examinations.
Relay instructions from the radiologist to patient or authorized person.
Collect and document patient data, concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient’s medical record for the radiologist’s review.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.

Candidates in the process of obtaining CA licensure may be considered; however CA license must be verified prior to start date.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA technological program.
Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety.
Maintain current California license in CRT.
Maintain current CPR certification.
Maintain current California license in Mammography.
Preferred Qualifications
One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist.
Six (6) months experience in an out‑patient environment.
Certification in Mammography through ARRT preferred.
Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.

Pay Range $44.18 - $65.71 /hour
