We are looking for a highly‑skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our expanding Mid‑Atlantic team in Wilkes‑Barre, PA, or Bethlehem, PA.
In this role you will apply your technical skills to flood control and stormwater infrastructure projects, including levee systems, pump stations, dams, and other flood control systems, collaborating with a diverse team of experienced engineers.
What You’ll Do
Assist engineers with a variety of flood control projects (including levee systems, pump stations, and dams)
Assist engineers with stormwater infrastructure projects
Conduct field investigations required to support design/study assignments
Knowledge and research of regulatory/permitting requirements
Drafting of design packages and contract drawings
Preparation of permit applications
H&H modeling and related reports
Assist with the preparation of technical studies and reports, project specifications
Cost estimating support services
Construction administration
Interface with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors as required
Attendance at client or public meetings, as needed
What You Bring
B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, required with a focus in water resources preferred
EIT required, PE a plus
3‑7 years of experience working in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering. Prior H&H experience is highly desired.
Strong technical writing skills
Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D will be required
Experience with GIS, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, & HEC‑RAS software is desired
Experience with local, state, and federal flood regulations, including knowledge of FEMA maps and studies, is a plus
Salary Range The starting salary for this position is $80,000, with final compensation determined based on years of experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
