French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer for our Telecommunications Department in Wall, NJ. This role focuses on structural analysis and design of telecommunications structures, utilizing industry-standard engineering software and coordinating with internal teams, clients, and contractors.
Responsibilities
Perform structural analysis and design for telecommunication towers, monopoles, rooftops, and related structures.
Utilize engineering software such as O-Calc, RISA Tower, AutoCAD, and other industry tools to complete structural evaluations and prepare detailed reports.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and client standards to ensure compliance with applicable codes and design requirements.
Develop construction drawings, calculations, and documentation to support new installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project deliverables are accurate and completed on schedule.
Conduct field visits and inspections as required to gather site‑specific data and verify structural conditions.
Assist in preparing proposals, project budgets, and schedules as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
3–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience in the telecommunications industry.
Proficiency with O-Calc, tnxTower, RISA, and other structural analysis software.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
Familiarity with applicable standards and codes such as TIA-222, AISC, and ACI.
EIT certification required; PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Compensation The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education, and skill set.
