Security Officer - Utilities Patrol

Harrison, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries such as Utilities. This Part‑Time role offers flexibility through our Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that fits your availability while gaining hands‑on experience in various industries.

In this position you will monitor and patrol designated utility areas, maintaining a welcoming and secure environment. Through routine patrols and visible presence you help deter incidents and respond promptly to concerns. You will also deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and utilize technology to support your duties.

Pay Rate $15.25 / Hour

Job Schedule Friday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM Sunday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, participate in emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, assisting with resolution as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to deter unauthorized activities and observe for irregularities.

Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to identify potential security‑related concerns or violations.

Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific protocols.

Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide assistance and relay important information.

Remain alert and attentive while patrolling utility‑related locations, adapting to varying environments and conditions as required by the site.

Support access control procedures by verifying credentials and observing access points as directed by client policies.

Minimum Requirements

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age (21+ for armed roles).

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Allied Universal will conduct a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Allied Universal will conduct a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
