Job Summary
Direct hire – full time Plant Engineer needed for a client local to the New Castle, PA area. Hiring manager seeks a candidate with at least 3 years of direct work experience from a heavy industrial environment such as Paper, Metal/Steel/Aluminum/Aerospace, Chemical, Automotive, Oil/Gas or similar industries. Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical is ideal.

Responsibilities
Conduct feasibility studies for projects as needed.
Write bid specifications for equipment, engineering, erection, and installation. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate contracts for bids. Estimate, schedule, and ensure projects are completed on budget and on time, providing maintenance and production engineering support to all departments.
Interface with contractors, equipment suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Conduct environmental sampling and inspections.
Responsibility for environmental compliance and reporting. Assist the Vice President of Steelmaking Technology as needed.
Complete other projects as requested, including local, national, and international travel as required.
Abide by all Company policies and procedures, including plant safety regulations and work rules.
Work well with others. Meet attendance requirements. Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
The Essential Functions Of This Role Include
Work in a smoke‑free environment.
Wear steel‑toe shoes.
Work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
Stand for 4 hours at a time.
