Applies basic design principles to perform structural design assignments under the guidance of senior designers and engineers on a variety of onshore projects. Responsibilities
Assist in the development of structural steel and concrete designs for onshore oil & gas and midstream facilities (e.g., pipe racks, equipment structures, shelters, foundations, and access platforms) Coordinate and interface effectively with other disciplines, clients, and vendors to ensure design accuracy and project alignment Prepare and update 3D models, drawings, and layouts in accordance with project requirements and company standards Support in the preparation of design deliverables including general arrangements, steel framing plans, sections, and details Assist in performing material take-offs and maintaining drawing lists Provide occasional field support including site surveys and as-built verification Maintain strong communication with project team members to support efficient project execution Qualifications & Skills
Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, design technology, or related field preferred 2+ years of relevant experience in onshore structural design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Good verbal and written communication skills Software
Proficiency in CADWorx, AutoCAD, or similar computer-aided design software required Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Amount of Travel
