Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Location Long Beach, Southern California (Onsite)
Project Type Substation Infrastructure Development
What You’ll Do
Lead site development including grading, drainage, access roads, and utility coordination.
Manage permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.
Prepare and oversee Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and erosion control documentation.
Collaborate with electrical and structural teams to integrate civil designs into substation layouts.
Coordinate and collaborate with remote office.
Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and budgets.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
8+ years of proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong track record in substation or utility infrastructure projects.
Deep knowledge of site development, SWPPP, and permitting.
Regulatory compliance and environmental documentation
Permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies
Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility layout, and transportation access
Experience with construction documentation and construction support.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in California and Utah (or ability to obtain) is a plus.
Familiarity with Revit is a plus
StormCAD / HydroCAD / SWMM or similar hydrology tools
Familiarity with ArcGIS / GIS Platform is a plus
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with utility clients and regulatory agencies.
