A respected construction management firm in the metro Detroit area is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact commercial and institutional projects from award through closeout.
About the Role The Project Manager will oversee all phases of assigned projects, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget goals are met. This role involves managing trade contractors, coordinating with owners and design teams, and proactively resolving challenges to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee project performance related to cost, schedule, safety, and quality
Manage communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors
Lead budgeting, scheduling, and procurement activities
Prepare and present monthly project reports and forecasts
Identify and mitigate project risks; manage change orders and cost control
Maintain a positive, collaborative team environment and lead performance discussions
Qualifications
5-10 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
Ground‑up + renovation experience; projects $10–$20M+ (more is fine)
Proven experience managing complex construction projects from inception to completion
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of construction contracts, safety standards, and risk management
MIOSHA 30‑hour, CPR, and First Aid certifications preferred
