The Opportunity We’re hiring a
Manufacturing Engineer – Machining
who’s ready to make an impact in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment. In this highly visible role, you’ll work closely with Operations leadership and cross‑functional teams to develop, optimize, and improve CNC machining processes that drive performance across production. You’ll take ownership of meaningful projects from concept through implementation, applying your technical expertise, creativity, and problem‑solving skills to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation while maintaining strong communication and collaboration every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
Develop and refine CNC machining processes using CAM software and G-code.
Collaborate directly with leadership and cross‑functional teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
Support setup and troubleshooting for multi‑axis CNC equipment (4th/5th axis, live tooling).
Stay proactive when waiting on parts or materials – tackling process documentation, tooling optimization, and automation prep to keep projects moving.
Identify and resolve machining issues through data‑driven root‑cause analysis.
Create and maintain CMM programs; oversee dimensional validation and first‑article inspections.
Partner with controls engineers on automation and robotics initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement through lean, kaizen, and 5S efforts.
Evaluate tooling and fixturing to improve throughput, tool life, and cost efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment that supports collaboration and accountability.
What You Bring
5–7 years of CNC machining experience, including setup, programming, and process optimization.
Proficiency in CAM software, G-code, and machine simulation tools.
Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and CMM programming skills.
Proven track record of improving quality, reducing scrap, and increasing productivity.
Ability to train, mentor, and collaborate effectively across production, quality, and engineering teams.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a hands‑on, proactive approach.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in technical documentation.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 6S, and continuous improvement practices.
