Travel Cable Tech

TEKsystems We are currently hiring Travel Technicians to support nationwide projects across the United States. This is a 100% travel-based role, focused on installing low voltage cabling and equipment such as IP cameras, wireless access points, routers, and switches. Assignments may last anywhere from 2 to 8 months at a time. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, dependable, and able to work closely with a partner 6 days a week throughout the duration of each project. Key Responsibilities
Pull and terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5, Cat6, etc.) Install network equipment in commercial environments Follow installation guidelines and safety codes Run cabling through commercial buildings, including concrete drilling and limited conduit work Neatly bundle and secure cables per safety standards Install cable support systems (j-hooks, racks, inner duct) Test and verify functionality of installed systems Troubleshoot network and cabling issues Operate scissor lifts and work at heights Complete work orders and maintain assigned tools Comply with all safety requirements (OSHA, client-specific, etc.) Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor Required Skills & Experience
Prior experience as a Data Cable Technician Willingness and availability for extensive nationwide travel Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs repeatedly Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights Night shift availability (7 PM – 7 AM, 5 days/week) Willingness to travel to Lowell, AR for orientation Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 3 years) Familiarity with hand tools: screwdrivers, snips, punch down tools, toner/probe, pliers, wrenches, etc. Must provide steel-toed boots; company supplies hard hat, vest, and safety glasses Top Technical Skills

Per diem: $125/day for food and lodging Company vehicle provided (shared with travel partner) Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
