The provider group focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care for all patients, regardless of ability to pay or health condition.

Key responsibilities of the APRN are to plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care, perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medication within approved prescriptive authority, perform office procedures, and collaborate with other health‑care providers to improve outcomes.

Clinical Practice and Education

Provide history, physical assessment, and psychosocial evaluation of patients.

Obtain relevant medical history from patients and/or caregivers.

Perform age‑appropriate physical examinations and conduct comprehensive functional assessments when indicated.

Conduct preventive screenings and diagnostic procedures based on age and history.

Identify medical and health risks, update records, and maintain follow‑up on lab and test results.

Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests and manage patient labs.

Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment interventions and care plans.

Formulate differential diagnoses and communicate care plans to patients, caregivers, and families.

Prescribe non‑pharmacologic and pharmacologic therapies within authorized scope.

Provide patient education and make appropriate referrals to physicians, specialists, and community agencies.

Participate in quality improvement reviews, disseminate findings, and implement improvements.

Serve as an educational resource for EMG staff and committee member across healthcare and clinical practice.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with NCQA and Eskenazi Health standards.

Collaborate with physicians or specialty consultants when patient conditions exceed APRN scope.

Utilize prescriptive authority following Indiana statutes and institutional guidelines.

Contribute to professional literature and advance patient care through evidence‑based practice.

Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of patients, staff, and system.

Skills and Knowledge Required

Assessment of system and patient needs, autonomous program development, and implementation to improve care.

Collaboration with health‑care teams across the continuum.

Leadership by mentorship, influencing patient outcomes.

Financial analysis of product, program, or process value.

Critical review of research literature and promotion of evidence‑based practices.

Excellent communication skills in team development, conflict management, and negotiations.

Knowledge of developmental principles across the lifespan and ability to tailor care accordingly.

Degrees: Master of Science in Nursing or Physician Assistant; current Indiana RN or appropriate state license, controlled‑substance registration, and collaborative agreement with affiliated physician group.
