This position supports our customers and contractors by delivering complete temporary and portable cooling solutions from quotation to installation. Reporting directly to the HD Rental Services Manager, this role focuses on jobsite solution design, customer satisfaction, and rental growth. Perform all phases of rental fulfillment delivery, installation, customer satisfaction, and follow up. Demonstrate proper equipment usage to customer at point of delivery/installation. Operate and care for rental equipment, including performing maintenance and minor repairs. Facilitate rental quotation and installation in an after?hours/on?call setting. Manage rental fleet, including warehouse organization, unit maintenance, check?in/check?out procedures, and tool inventory. Perform analysis on customer rental needs, inventory utilization, and fleet efficiency. Possess strong knowledge of all Hunton Distribution rental product lines and be able to enthusiastically demonstrate and discuss with customers. Develop new customer rental sales accounts by cold?calling various locations in the territory. Increase rental sales to existing accounts. Regularly report rental sales activity, new account development, and upcoming schedule/plans. Develop relationships with key players in the multiple Hunton Group sales and operational teams. Support HDs internal and external sales teams by targeting untapped customer segments and vertical markets through sales call ride?a?longs and other outreach. Engage in targeted outreach campaigns including cold calls, emails, branch visits, trade shows, contractor events, and more. Track and report on rental sales activity, leads, and conversions. Participate in 24/7 on?call for emergency rental needs. Schedule and perform training sessions on portable HVAC for internal and external customers. Ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety procedures. Maintain all required certifications, including a valid drivers license and any applicable HVAC handling or forklift certifications. Other duties may be assigned. Skills Required
Excellent customer service and organizational skills. Superior verbal and written communication and relationship?building skills. Experience working with rental products preferred. HVAC technical knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to use power tools and build miscellaneous temporary HVAC accessories. Safely operate company vehicles, including pickup and box trucks with liftgate. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and work in outdoor/warehouse environments. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and jobsite environments. Must maintain a clean driving record. Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar). Basic computer skills for quoting, scheduling, and reporting. Education And/or Experience Required
Associate degree or Bachelors degree is preferred. 1+ year of HVAC or rental industry experience preferred. Outside/inside sales and/or customer service experience.
