Role Overview
The HR Generalist will primarily focus on acquiring technical talent for our growing software and technology company. This role is centered on sourcing, attracting, and hiring top engineers, developers, and technical specialists to drive product innovation and scalability. The HR Generalist will manage end-to-end recruitment across various roles, with a strong emphasis on positions requiring expertise in software development, cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, DevOps, and related fields.
In addition to recruitment, they will support core HR functions such as performance management, employee engagement, policy development, and handbook updates.
The ideal candidate thrives in a technical environment, understands engineering workflows, and excels at engaging passive candidates in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
- General Tasks: Manages administrative tasks related to HR functions and maintains accurate records.
- Conducts recruitment efforts using available software and tools, reviewing resumes to identify qualified candidates and coordinating interviews.
- Collaborates with external recruiters when necessary.
- Explores and adopts new tools and methods to enhance recruitment for key roles.
- Drafts and maintains essential HR documents and program materials, including job descriptions, organizational charts, performance evaluations, training plans, and talent management resources.
- Processes employee status changes and responds to HR inquiries, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Ensures HR programs comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Researches, develops, and recommends improvements to HR policies, programs, and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Investigates HR compliance matters and communicates their impact on policies and decision-making.
- Partners with the payroll department on problem-solving and special projects.
- Advises supervisors and managers on strategies to address employee work-related issues.
- Promotes and supports a positive company culture through HR practices.
- Provides additional HR services as required.
- Internal Customer Service: Fields and responds to HR inquiries and resolves discrepancies as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 5-10 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar capacity
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter
- Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems
- Excel
