Base pay range $200,000.00/yr – $210,000.00/yr
Job Summary The Senior Manager, Data Science will lead a high‑impact team of 2–3 data scientists and analysts responsible for designing experiments, driving marketing optimization, and delivering advanced insights that shape digital strategy. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership, strategic partnership across marketing, product, and engineering, and success in building a modern, customer‑centric data science team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Strategy
Lead and mentor 2–3 data science professionals focused on marketing and experimentation analytics.
Establish performance metrics, career development paths, and a culture of learning and rigor.
Partner with senior stakeholders to identify strategic priorities delivering measurable value.
Own roadmap planning and prioritization for data science initiatives within marketing and digital.
Experimentation & Analytics Excellence
Oversee design and evaluation of A/B and multivariate tests across product, marketing, and digital experiences.
Build frameworks for hypothesis testing, statistical design, and post‑experiment evaluation.
Ensure consistency in experimentation methodology, metrics, and governance across teams.
Translate insights into actionable business strategies and growth plans.
Marketing & Growth Analytics
Develop models and analyses to understand funnel performance, retention, attribution, and campaign ROI.
Partner with marketing leadership to guide segmentation, personalization, and customer lifecycle initiatives.
Deliver insights that directly inform investment decisions, channel strategy, and customer engagement optimization.
Collaboration & Communication
Serve as key interface between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring clarity on objectives, timelines, and outcomes.
Present findings to senior executives, connecting data insights to tangible business results.
Champion a test‑and‑learn culture that promotes agility, innovation, and accountability.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
7+ years in data science, analytics, or experimentation.
2–3 years of direct people‑leadership experience (analysts/data scientists).
Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests in a digital, e‑commerce, or omni‑channel environment.
Hands‑on experience with SQL and Python; familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior decision‑makers.
