General Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests.

Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions.

Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.

Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.

Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.

Required Skills: Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to pediatric critical care.

Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

Time management and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Minimum Education Requirements:

MSN degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., pediatrics).

License & Certifications: Active and unencumbered APRN license in California.

National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP).

Experience:

Prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to pediatric critical care.

Locum tenens NP positions are temporary assignments, often lasting weeks or months.
