The COAST SEIT Deputy IPT Lead will be responsible for providing technical and operational support to the COAST SEIT IPT for every aspect of day-to-day program execution. The individual will have responsibility for helping lead a multi-discipline engineering team and help guide all program activities related to design, development, testing, and delivery of the IPT technical products as it relates to contractual cost, schedule, and performance commitments. The Deputy IPT Lead serves an integral role in cultivating the Customer relationship, actively managing team requirements, and shaping and nurturing program and team culture. The position requires a high degree of collaboration skills with the ability to provide insight into the status of multiple efforts at various levels of leadership.

This Position Is Responsible For The Following

Assist the IPT Lead and acting as the primary delegate for all IPT leadership activities

Provide overall leadership and direction to the sub IPT leaders and program team (to include strategy development, coaching team members, resolving conflict, and optimizing team level performance)

Provide leadership and review of proposal efforts (e.g., BPEs, CROMs, ECPs)

Coordinate/interface across multiple IPTs to define, develop, test updates and upgrades to the system

Schedule management of COAST SEIT organization, including forecast monitoring, variance explanations, and cost/schedule lien evaluation and preparation

Development and adherence to master plans and schedule

Integrated program demand planning (staffing, clearances, etc.)

Manage risk, issues, and opportunity processes. Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact program performance and take proactive action to resolve issues regarding cost and schedule

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customer counterparts

Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings at technical and program reviews and boards

Deliver presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Ground system processes and procedures

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)

8 Years with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD

Understanding of systems engineering and systems integration principles and processes

Experience managing projects

Experience with proposal

Experience with process improvement initiatives

Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal

Active SCI access

Preferred Qualifications

Ground segment experience

Familiarity with Cyber Systems Engineering

Experience with Risk and Opportunity processes

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate with positive outcome while maintaining good relationships with customers

Primary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
