Job Summary The Vice President of Information Technology (VP, IT) is responsible for leading the organization’s IT strategy, infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. This role oversees all aspects of technology operations, cybersecurity, software development, and IT governance. The VP, IT collaborates with executive leadership and business operations to align technology with objectives and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
Establish and manage IT budgets, ensuring cost‑effective investments in technology.
Partner with business unit leaders, IT, marketing, HR, finance, and operations to ensure digital initiatives are integrated and scaled effectively across the organization.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.
Develop career development programs and training for IT staff to keep skills up to date.
Lead organizational change efforts, manage risks and resistance to transformation.
Technology Operations & Infrastructure
Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations.
Optimize IT service management (ITSM) processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect company data and assets.
Establish incident response and disaster recovery plans to mitigate potential risks.
Software Development & Digital Transformation
Drive software development and automation initiatives to enhance business processes.
Lead innovation projects involving AI, cloud computing, IoT, and other emerging technologies.
Partner with all four IES business units to implement digital solutions that improve operations and customer engagement.
Specific Qualifications
10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive IT role.
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
Experience leading digital transformation initiatives and managing complex IT projects.
Proven track record in IT strategy development, budget management, and team leadership.
Preferred Certifications
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
Project Management Professional (PMP)
ITIL Certification
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
