Corvid's Colorado Springs team is looking to add an experienced engineer or analyst to help lead research & development efforts related to adding new capabilities to Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS). This role will specifically target technology that upgrades Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) to add capabilities that systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems. The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills and will excel in a mission-focused workplace. The position will be part of a blended team of government stakeholders and industry partners, including multi-disciplined teams developing complex, multidisciplinary technology solutions.

This unique opportunity will allow someone to work on highly technical tasks while interacting with key partners and customers. The candidate will need the ability to shape and advance technical capabilities, provide thought leadership for missile defense projects and develop technical solutions that could achieve desired outcomes. Daily tasking will range from direct work on development efforts, shaping technology roadmaps and stimulating innovation within the technical team, and fostering a climate of collaboration across the program.

Requirements

Candidate must be a US citizen and possess a Top-Secret clearance.

Position will require at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related STEM discipline and 12 years of relevant experience working on BMDS programs. Advanced degrees can substitute for experience - the candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering.

Proven ability to take initiative and offer technical thought leadership, even in uncertain situations or without specific requirements or guidance.

Proficiency with MATLAB and similar programming such as Python, Perl, Bash, Mathematica, and JavaScript.

Fluency in Linux environments, including shell scripting (bash, csh).

Familiarity with basic computer networking concepts (UDP, TCP/IP, network boundaries, firewalls).

Knowledge of C2BMC suite architecture and scripted automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Kubernetes).

Experience with Monte Carlo analysis, statistical regression, and other analytical techniques.

Functional familiarity with modeling such as SysML or UML.

Candidate will possess a strong analytical background and experience with ballistic missile defense programs and domains, including participation in Ground Test and Flight Test campaigns.

Experience with C2BMC systems or ballistic missile defense technologies is a plus.
