Senior Project Manager – Roadway Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Roadway Engineer to join our firm in Columbus, Ohio. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in managing roadway design projects while spearheading our efforts to grow our team and establish our presence in the regional market.

Key Responsibilities
Team Growth and Leadership: Collaborate with corporate staff and management to build a high‑performing roadway design engineering team; lead and manage one or more teams of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and a positive workplace culture.
Project Management and Delivery: Manage local agency and DOT roadway design projects, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget; oversee planning, execution, and delivery of design projects, including quality control and construction oversight.
Business Development and Client Relations: Coordinate with the Roadway Discipline Leader and Regional Leader to develop strategies for regional market penetration; develop new client relationships, represent the company at industry events, and collaborate with other service lines to promote capabilities and cross‑sell services.
Additional Responsibilities: May involve other duties and projects as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
12+ years of progressive experience in roadway design with extensive ODOT experience
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Experience with project management and accounting software
Exceptional organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
