Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
Location Atlanta, GA
Job Title: Civil/Geotechnical Engineer
Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview
Responsibilities
Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
Perform boring layout for utility clearance; supervise drill rigs; classify soils; log borings.
Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, and pile testing.
Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings, and designs.
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
1-3 years’ experience with Geotechnical engineering knowledge.
1-3 years’ experience preparing Geotechnical Engineering reports, including site investigations, soil analysis, and foundation recommendations.
Experience with CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages.
At least 1 year of experience working on GDOT projects is preferred.
Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed.
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub‑consultants, and utility companies.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Exposure to variable climate and environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
