Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk supports the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions by performing daily accounting and administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Accounts Payable

• Enter all incoming bills into QuickBooks accurately and promptly.
• Follow established monetary limit guidelines and route bills for appropriate approvals.
• Print and mail checks as needed.
• Monitor and process all recurring payments to ensure timely disbursement.
• Retrieve and review monthly vendor statements.
• Communicate with vendors via phone or email regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
• Research and resolve discrepancies or billing issues in a timely manner.

Accounts Receivable

• Assist the Accounts Receivable team with collections and payment follow-up.
• Provide support with tasks such as scanning, emailing, and organizing invoices.
• Provide phone and administrative support as needed.
• Perform basic office tasks such as filing, scanning, and document organization.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related accounting software.
• Experience with QuickBooks preferred.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous accounting or industry‑related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain in a stationary position while working at a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or transport up to 15 pounds occasionally.
