Procurement Specialist

Direct message the job poster from Boviet Solar Position Summary The Procurement Specialist is responsible for executing procurement activities to support Boviet Solar’s manufacturing operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of materials, equipment, and services. This role focuses on supplier sourcing, negotiation, order management, and vendor performance tracking, while supporting strategic sourcing initiatives and aligning with the company’s sustainability and operational goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote internal demand integration and ensure clarity of purchasing requirements. Identify, develop, and manage new and existing suppliers across multiple product categories, integrating and optimizing purchasing channels. Negotiate commercial contracts, purchase prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other conditions with suppliers to reduce procurement costs and mitigate risks. Track and resolve procurement issues related to delivery, quality, and quantity, including managing claims and corrective actions. Conduct supplier assessments and monitor ongoing performance in terms of quality, service, and compliance with company standards. Perform supplier inquiries, price comparisons, and cost analyses, reporting recommendations to leadership for approval. Monitor market trends for purchased materials, collecting and analyzing industry data to inform procurement strategy adjustments. Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, amendments, and cancellations. Process related accounts, invoices, and reimbursement requests in accordance with company procedures. Collaborate closely with internal departments (engineering, production, quality, finance) to align material availability with production needs. Support strategic sourcing, cost reduction, and vendor consolidation initiatives under the guidance of the Procurement Manager. Complete other procurement-related tasks as assigned by the department leadership. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of economics, supply chain management, and procurement best practices. Strong understanding of procurement business processes, supplier communication, and negotiation techniques. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office. Strong coordination, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while managing multiple priorities. Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations. Commitment to ethical sourcing and sustainability practices. Additional Information Occasional travel may be required for supplier visits or industry events.
