Achieving Better Coping Skills LLC is aiming to better the lives of children that are At-risk or Orphaned. Being a part of our program will let you reap the rewards of helping out young men succeed in life. We are no ordinary group home for boys. We are a life skill and independent living training program based out of Tempe, Az. Our philosophy is simple; If one fails, we all fail. But, success is the only story we are focused on. We want all of our Youth to create goals and aspirations and be able to experience those goals while living here, not just talk about them. The following sections describe the fundamental purpose, requirements, and details of the position. Responsibilities
To provide professional-level assistance and support services for youth between the ages of 9 up to 18+ in the following areas: Assisting with youth transportation needs using provided company vehicles or approved personal vehicles. Knowledge of youth prevention of violent or harmful behaviors to self or other youth. Knowledge of behavior management crisis situations, skills, and activity supervision. Knowledge of symptomatology of youth diagnosed with mental disorders or addictions. Knowledge of indications, typical side effects, reactions, and interactions of medications prescribed for self-administration by youth. Resources for obtaining assistance when needed. Youth record-keeping of youth activities and progress toward treatment goals and objectives. Skills in providing recreational, and social activities, Life Skills Training, and Milieu activities. Requirements
Must be 21 or older years of age. Must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid training. Must possess a valid Arizona State Driver's License and show proof of driving records for the prior three years. Must pass a Department of Public Safety fingerprint background check. Must receive annual tuberculin test or written statement from physician made within six months before employment with negative results. Must have a physical exam (previous annual exam accepted). Must pass a drug screening test. Must Speak the English Language and comprehend and make inferences from material written in the English language. Must provide proof of personal auto insurance, if applicable. Must have a clean driving record extending over three years. Details
