What You Will Do Pratt & Whitney’s Compression Systems Module Center (CSMC) is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to lead projects for New Product Introductions and have responsibility for manufacture of experimental engine hardware. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the newest products and manufacturing technologies being designed and developed at Pratt & Whitney.
Responsibilities Candidate selected will be responsible for planning and development of manufacturing processes for new experimental engine hardware and, in some cases, phasing these products into production. This includes working with new product design engineers during the conceptual design phase through detail design and ultimately initial hardware manufacture. NPI ME will utilize MRL tools to ensure product design meets cost and producibility goals while still meeting program and design requirements. Support of experimental hardware manufacture will be both within P&W and at selected development suppliers. Responsibilities include creation of master planning summary, tool planning, design and tryout, creation of work instructions, development of new process technologies, first‑piece tryout and delivery of development parts to meet program schedules. Mentor newer team members as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
Required Experience: Experience with machining processes (Milling, turning, grinding, etc.) on aerospace materials, process planning and development.
US Citizenship required due to program requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
New product introductions, rotating hardware, IBRs/Blisks, fan/compressor airfoils, new capital equipment projects, continuous improvement projects, MRL (manufacturing readiness levels) and project leadership.
Work Environment & Compensation This role is onsite: Employees who are working onsite will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Salary range: $101,000 – $203,000 USD.

Specific benefits are dependent on the business unit.
