Job Purpose The Logistics Coordinator provides strategic support to our operations, shipping and sales teams. Processes load(s) by entering them into the Transportation Management program and oversees the full life cycle of the load(s).
Key Job Elements
Enter load into the Transportation Management Program and book with carriers.
Process the loads from beginning to end, from booking and building the load to delivering it out and resolving any issues.
Monitor loads in process and communicate with internal customers.
Assist internal customers and carriers with shipping paperwork and any other questions on the load.
Communicate with various other departments as needed.
Identify and solve problems.
Other job duties assigned from within the department.
Education / Training
HS Diploma or GED
Qualifications and Experience Required
Customer service background in logistics or planning with ability to build a relationship with internal customers and handle problem resolution in a timely manner.
Ability to adapt and work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with requirements for overtime based on business demands.
Preferred
Experience in load planning or logistics in general.
Prior experience in a customer service role supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project.
