About the Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst, you'll manage material flow and supplier performance to ensure production readiness and cost efficiency. You'll analyze demand requirements, negotiate pricing, issue and manage purchase orders, and proactively address changes in supply or demand. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you'll resolve quality, pricing, and delivery issues to maintain seamless operations and support continuous improvement in the supply chain process.
Review planned orders as generated by MRP to release purchase orders/schedule lines, expedite released orders and delay released orders.
Resolve message issues by analyzing and working with colleagues (Production Control, Planning, etc.) to determine root causes and implementing corrections.
Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business.
Control & Monitor PPV with keen negotiation skills.
Review and analyze planning tables to identify shortages that may impact customer orders.
Proactively monitor requirements vs. scheduled receipts for all assigned products and notify affected associates of any shortages.
Where capacity or material constraints exist, sequence/prioritize component and finished goods manufacturing operations to maximize on time shipping levels.
Resolve planning related system issues by analyzing system information and working with colleagues to determine root causes and implement corrections.
Analyze current work center loads and supply constraints and provide estimated lead times for large orders that are being quoted.
Attend morning market meetings to identify purchased part shortages and provide estimated availability dates to planning and operations team members.
Support Operation's efforts to maintain inventory accuracy by investigating count discrepancies, providing system transaction information, requesting re-counts, and advising inventory balance adjustments.
Quickly resolve issues with material receipts.
Respond to NCMRs for assigned components.
Cover responsibilities for colleagues as needed.
Assign top level causes to purchased component shortages from the previous week.
Work with supplier(s) in supplier management relationship to meet or exceed Barrett's Firearms Expectations.
About You You're an analytical and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of supply chain operations and procurement processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly, and you take initiative to solve problems before they impact production. You're skilled at building relationships with suppliers and internal teams, communicating clearly, and negotiating effectively to achieve the best outcomes.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or equivalent experience.
3 to 5 years in resource management role (buyer, planner, scheduler, etc.).
Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines.
Experience with ERP systems.
Proficient with MS Office suite, advanced skills with MS Excel.
Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills.
Able to influence others and manage conflict.
Ability to self-direct and take constructive action in ambiguous situations.
Extremely high standards of excellence.
Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent experience.
3 to 5 years in resource management role (buyer, planner, scheduler, etc.).
Candidates with a two-year degree will be considered eligible if they possess sufficient product and systems knowledge to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role, or have equivalent relevant experience gained outside of formal education.
Expert applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines.
Maintain valid driver’s license.
Maintain eligibility to work with firearms under state and federal guidelines.
