Lead Mechanical Project Manager – Eaton

Join Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division as a Lead Mechanical Project Manager to provide project management expertise for large Design Build, Microgrid, and Distributed Generation Projects.

Expected annual salary: $108,749 – $159,499 (variable incentive program available).

Essential Functions

Supports proposal process with mechanical designs, solutions and written scopes of work.

Manages & maintains the commercial contract between Eaton and its customers.

Estimates, prepares, submits, and manages change orders between customer and Eaton.

Manages and communicates the scope of work & responsibilities between Eaton’s customers, employees, and suppliers/sub-contractors.

Establishes, and manages the contract(s) between Eaton and its vendors & subcontractors.

Plans, establishes, maintains, and regularly updates a project schedule on assigned projects.

Manages communication, and distributes documentation between Eaton and its customers.

Monitors, reports and controls costs on assigned projects within estimated margins.

Reports, forecasts, and presents project financial activity to Eaton’s management.

Prepares, distributes, and follows through with project safety plan.

Responsible for financial performance of project including profitability, project revenue, and cash flow.

Responsibilities Use modern project management tools and techniques to execute projects related to electrical power system modifications. Provide technical leadership to district sales & service teams. Manage project from inception through execution, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule objectives are met. Travel required.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 8 years of project management experience OR Associate’s Degree in Engineering with 10 years experience.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Experience with Microsoft Project or Project Scheduling software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer qualification.

Knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA.

PMP Certified.

OSHA 30 Certification.

First Aid and CPR trained.

Skills & Criteria

Successfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policies.

Periodic submission to background/drug screens as required.

Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera Scheduling software.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
