Material Distribution Specialist – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA Allegion is seeking a Material Distribution Specialist to fulfill a full-time position in Snoqualmie, WA at our Technical Glass Products facility. The Material Distribution Specialist will work independently to ensure the continuous flow of materials to manufacturing. Additional responsibilities will include physical and administrative tasks involving receipt and visual inspection of incoming material, inventory control, labeling, storing and distributing materials, parts and supplies. The successful candidate must be efficient, organized, responsible and resourceful with a committed ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced production environment. Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6 am – 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime.

What You Will Do

Assist and support the Supply Chain Team by Planning For Every Part; PFEP

Pick and stage inventory against “Pick Lists”

Accountable for accurate inventory counts, inventory locations and inventory related management functions

Research and resolve material related problems

Communicate, monitor and expedite shortages

Perform timely and accurate data entry to allocate inventory against Pick Lists and other usage

Unpack, label and stock materials and consumables in accordance to storage requirements

Print part labels, Pick Lists and BOM (Bill of Materials) and other key documents

Complete all necessary documentation pertaining to inventory movement and transactions

Monitor and replenish multiple Kanban bins on production floor

Maintain stockroom in an organized fashion

Identify and put away parts to correct stocking locations

Participate in implementing strategic plans for process improvement

Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-range plans relating to inventory management

Offload material from containers, trucks and other vehicles and move to appropriate locations for further processing

Maintain work areas according to 5S principles on a daily basis

Fulfill assigned specific daily and weekly job assignments as outlined by supervisor that meet departmental and company goals

What You Need to Succeed

2+ years of experience in material distribution, inventory, supply chain, or manufacturing.

Forklift experience required , forklift certification preferred

Demonstrated computer experience in Microsoft Office applications and Material Resource Planning / Enterprise Resource Planning type systems

Excellent Customer Service Skills; display a professional ‘can do’ attitude

Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and prioritizing multiple tasks along with meeting deadlines

Consistently demonstrate independent judgment and initiative; driven self-starter dedicated to continuous process improvement

Detail-oriented, accurate, dependable and willing to accept a wide variety of assignments

Knowledge/Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools required

Experience with MRP systems and processing inventory transactions

Comfortable operating a forklift for moving inventory

Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly

Ability to read, analyze and interpret inventory data and reports

Good verbal and written communication skills

Strong math skills

Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly

Working Conditions In an assembly plant/warehouse environment, the role involves regular heavy work, exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust, and potential welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 pounds) and occasionally very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds). Production aids such as tilting assembly tables, overhead cranes and forklifts may be used. Personal protective equipment will be provided. The role may involve working under time pressure and conducting multiple concurrent tasks with effective communication among team members. Typical schedule requires 40+ hours per week to achieve performance objectives.

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.

The expected Base Hourly Range: $18.17 - $30.24. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
