Job Details Salary:
$29 per hour
Schedule:
Full‑time; Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm
Job Responsibilities
Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
On‑call for emergencies on a rotation with the maintenance team.
Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in development of all subordinate maintenance staff.
Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make‑ready repairs and services.
Changes locks and makes keys.
Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
Removes and transfers heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to apartment (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant. Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to dumpster when necessary.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor with maintaining adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials to handle most common repairs and situations.
Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Contributes to a positive team environment and happy base.
Qualifications
Prior maintenance experience in property management, but not required.
Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong team player.
Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects.
Weekends may be required.
Can operate vehicle on premise and has valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
Supply their own tools.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimated 60% - 100% of time is spent on feet.
Occasional need to type, write, & grasp (working at a computer and answering phones).
Estimated 60% - 100% need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder.
Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs - 75lbs and be on your feet a majority of the day.
