JR103706**POSITION OVERVIEW:**The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing the scheduling, dispatching, and communication of drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery service. This role involves coordinating daily operations, maintaining real-time communication with staff and clients, and troubleshooting delays or issues to keep operations running smoothly.**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Schedule and dispatch personnel, vehicles, or equipment to job sites according to schedules, work orders, or customer requests.Monitor the status of field personnel and provide real-time updates to clients and management.* Use dispatch software and communication tools to track and optimize routing.* Communicate with drivers or field staff to provide updates, directions, and support as needed.* Respond promptly to emergencies, cancellations, or delays, and resolve conflicts as they arise.* Maintain accurate records of services, dispatch logs, and other documentation.* Coordinate with customer service, operations, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.* Communicate effectively with drivers to ensure punctual deliveries and promptly address any logistical challenges.* Coordinate permits and approvals for oversized and over-dimensional local shipments.* Schedule and manage required police escorts, pilot cars, and support services to ensure compliant transport.* Monitor and optimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely arrivals.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize shipments and resolve operational issues.* Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to inquiries.* Organize and upload all documentation to a shared drive.* Create purchase order requisitions and receive purchase orders for local movements.* Respond promptly to driver calls and inquiries.* Create BOL’s in the TMS system for both internal drivers and outsourced drivers.* Organize and upload all documentation to a shared drive.* Undertake other tasks assigned by TAS Energy.**JOB SKILLS:*** Geographic knowledge for route planning and optimization* GPS and fleet tracking systems knowledge* Scheduling and resource allocation understanding* Knowledge of DOT regulations, oversized permitting processes, and escort requirements.* Working knowledge of logistics and distribution practices* Time-sensitive decision-making abilities* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.* Familiarity with transportation management software.* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.* Proficient in accurate data entry* Strong focus on attention to detail* Positive attitude* Safety first mindset**EDUCATION & TRAINING:*** High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*** 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a related field.* Proficient in dispatch or fleet management software* Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.* Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings or weekends, if required.**PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:*** Experience in logistics* Familiarity with DOT regulations* TMS and ERP experience a plus# PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.

Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading.
