Direct Material Planner role at SHL Medical. SHL Medical is a world-leading provider in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced self-injection devices. The Direct Material Planner is responsible for the direct material replenishment process from placement of purchase order releases, follow up with suppliers and delivery of raw materials/components to support the site\'s production schedule. The role works closely with suppliers to maintain supplier relationships and provides other support to Operations and Management as required. Key Responsibilities

Plans all purchased parts within responsibility area. Make decisions to release, firm, cancel, or defer releases based on current inventory, demand, and capacity. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support the production plan. Collaborate with suppliers to expedite or defer materials to meet production and inventory objectives. Independently manage material supply with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries. Identify priorities and proactively update purchase order releases per supplier updates to achieve efficiency. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and communicate effectively, including calls outside of normal business hours as needed. Troubleshoot issues with suppliers accordingly. Assist in managing transportation logistics for material as needed. Maintain accurate purchase order information in the ERP system; modify order release due dates, quantities, and close purchase orders based on planning demand. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related fields and 3+ years of large ERP (preferably SAP) experience in a similar role preferred. 3+ years of experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in GMP and/or ISO 13485 environment preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Extremely organized and detail oriented. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Process oriented with strong adherence to processes. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment. Solutions-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. We Offer
