Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Supplier Management Lead to oversee and direct suppliers and internal teams supporting the external development of advanced spaceflight systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that program requirements are prioritized and met, manage contracting activities, and drive procurement processes from initiation through payment while aligning with corporate strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct suppliers and teammates supporting the external development of various spaceflight systems.
Ensure program requirements are properly prioritized and executed to meet the client’s objectives.
Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quote (RFQ), perform price analyses to support proposals, and develop effective negotiation strategies.
Construct various contract types for major procurement activities, including long-range procurement agreements and sourcing partnerships.
Own the procurement process end-to-end—from requisition creation through final invoice payment—and resolve any process issues.
Lead identification, negotiation, execution, and management of strategic agreements such as Long-Term Agreements (LTAs).
Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and help ensure corporate strategic objectives are met.
Ensure timely delivery of production materials that meet budget and technical performance requirements.
Requirements
Proven knowledge and experience in procurement and supplier management.
Strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Experience negotiating and managing multiple contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time & Material (T&M), and cost-type contracts (CPFF, CPIF).
Ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload effectively.
Experience working in ambiguous environments and balancing competing priorities successfully.
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, including experience establishing and tracking program metrics.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Working knowledge of AS9100 standards.
Familiarity with engineering data such as specifications and source control drawings.
