Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Ecommerce Business Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of ColtParts.com. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the AR15 and 1911 platforms and a passion for the firearms industry. This role involves strategic inventory management, product curation, social media engagement within the AR15 community, and driving overall ecommerce performance. You will play a key role in expanding our product offerings and fostering customer loyalty, while collaborating with our warehouse staff who handle all fulfillment logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Product Curation and Purchasing:

Identify and suggest new purchases exclusively for ColtParts.com, focusing on AR15-compatible Colt parts and accessories that align with market trends, customer demand, and quality standards. Conduct market research to ensure our inventory remains competitive and relevant.

Inventory Management:

Oversee stock levels, monitor sales data, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover. Use analytics tools to forecast demand, prevent stockouts, and minimize overstock, ensuring efficient operations without direct involvement in physical handling.

Social Media and Community Engagement:

Build and maintain a strong presence on social media platforms targeted at the AR15 community (e.g., forums, groups on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and specialized firearm networks). Create content, respond to inquiries, run promotions, and foster relationships to drive traffic and sales to ColtParts.com.

Ecommerce Operations:

Handle typical ecommerce duties including website maintenance, SEO optimization, email marketing campaigns, customer service oversight, sales performance analysis, and vendor relations. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that boost online visibility and conversion rates.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

Track key metrics such as sales growth, customer acquisition, and retention. Generate reports and provide insights to senior leadership to inform business decisions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Strong, demonstrable knowledge of the AR15 platform, including components, compatibility, assembly, and customization trends. Prior experience in the firearms industry (e.g., retail, building, or enthusiast communities) is essential.

Proficiency in inventory management systems, ecommerce platforms (BigCommerce), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with the AR15 community on social media.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools, SEO/SEM, and content creation for social platforms.

Experience in niche markets, particularly firearms or outdoor/sporting goods.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
