Who we are looking for

Cutting Dynamics is seeking a driven, highly motivated, and results-focused professional that will be responsible for identifying, developing, pursuing, and securing, new business opportunities for the supply of metallic and thermoplastic composite products, assemblies, and kitting solutions. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth and sales pipeline sustainability with both existing and new clients. The role reports to the General Manager, and will work closely with CDI’s inside sales and quoting team, as well as the Re:Build Manufacturing commercial team and technical experts during the entire business development process. What you will get to do

Research potential clients and evaluate them for business engagements that fit our objectives, and for long-term relationships and growth. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and key business partners at client organizations. Understand their goals, needs, and strategic objectives to position our product offerings effectively. Partner closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, quality control, account management, and project management, to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction. Incorporate feedback from clients to improve internal processes and product offerings. Conduct thorough needs analysis and understand the technical requirements of clients\' products and systems. Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to develop tailored solutions that address clients\' specific needs. Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition, technical capabilities, and competitive advantages of our manufacturing capabilities. Engage in discussions to establish terms and finalize agreements for new contracts. Collaborate with the legal team to negotiate and finalize contracts. Ensure that all terms and conditions are aligned with the client\'s requirements and company policies. Drive the contract signing process and effectively close deals. Work closely with site and corporate marketing teams to promote awareness of our capabilities and experience. Support content development, message creation, and presentation materials. Provide feedback on industry trends, client activity, and competitor tracking. Leverage various channels, including networking events, industry conferences, online platforms, and referrals, to generate leads and build a strong pipeline of potential clients. Proactively engage prospects to initiate business discussions. Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to our industries and manufacturing capabilities. Leverage market insights to identify new business opportunities and position our company as a leader in the contract manufacturing space. Harness Customer Relationship Management tools to develop and maintain complete and accurate information regarding your sales pipeline. Provide forecast information and work with the management team to ensure that business opportunities meet financial criteria. Work with our management team in the development of strategic objectives and directives. What you bring to the team

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, MBA a plus Minimum 8 years experience in business development, customer program development, technical sales, or a related field Must have experience in business development within the manufacturing industry Ability to travel as needed (up to 50%) to meet with clients, attend events, etc. Passion for growing the business. Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Strong written and verbal communication & presentation skills, especially with external clients and partners Excellent relationship-building skills Excellent leadership and organizational skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively across functions. Preferred Experience working with a corporate commercial organization or in a multi-business unit organization is a plus Experience developing & implementing business development, customer management, or program management processes is a plus Experience working with ISO9001 / AS9100 or similar quality system a plus Aerospace and defense experience preferred Base Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 with up to a 15% bonus target depending on experience The BIG payoff
