Clearwater Analytics
Clearwater is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Finance team. This role involves helping the team with month-end, quarter and financial closing process. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to provide valuable insight. This role is critical in ensuring that all reporting timelines are met and financial information is accurate to support management in making informed decisions that drive growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to‑day accounting activities of the company
Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
Perform account analysis of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes
Ensure accounts are in accordance with US and international GAAP
Provide support to and manage timely and effective audits
Provide accounting advise to departments on the proper application of accounting policies
Requirements
CPA preferred
7+ years of combined accounting experience in public and large corporation
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Strong understanding of technical accounting practices including SEC reporting
Excellent analytical skills and advanced Excel modeling
Experience with NetSuite and Blackline a plus
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills acting as internal advisor
Strong drive to improve accounting operations through automation, implementation of strong controls and streamlined workflows
SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and Fintech industry experience a plus
Chicago Salary Range: $100 ,000–$120,000K base + Bonus + RSU's
NY Salary Range: $110 ,000–$140,000K base + Bonus + RSU's
