What Is The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) builds, supports, maintains, and manages over 28 million square feet of state-owned and leased facilities that house over 62,000 state employees in over 100 state agencies, all working in the service of the citizens of Texas. TFC oversees a varied property portfolio of office space, storage, warehouses, parking garages, and grounds of buildings across 283 cities and towns in Texas. Our team provides and contracts for the design and construction, property management, landscaping and custodial services, recycling and waste management services, building climate and energy automation, and the fire and security services required to keep State agencies working for our constituents.
The Position TFC is looking for a Program Specialist VI to perform highly advanced (senior-level) architectural and interior design work for an in-office position in the Facilities Design and Construction Division. This individual will be involved in architectural design work in an office, laboratory, and field setting.
The ideal candidate must be willing and capable of producing design documents, specifications, and plans according to standard architectural practices. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, five (5) years of experience generating architectural and/or engineering Building Information Modeling (BIM) models using Autodesk Revit software, and a valid State of Texas Class C driver’s license. The candidate must also be able to attest to and maintain the security or integrity of the state's critical infrastructure to be considered for hire and to maintain employment.
Knowledge and experience with architectural principles, technical design codes, project planning, proficiency in BIM and CAD software, and skills in organization, problem-solving, and supervision are essential.
