Job Summary And Responsibilities CHI Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advance Practice Provider (APP) to join our innovative Critical Care/eICU team. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to provide care both virtually through the electronic ICU (eICU) and in person at the bedside, engaging in a diverse patient population across multiple hospital locations in the Omaha/Metro area. You will work in a collaborative, academic environment while enhancing your skills in advanced critical care management.
Schedule
Three 12 hour shifts per week, rotating days/nights (approx. 60/40 split).
Nocturnist option with increased pay differential available on request.
Holiday rotation.
Bedside Rounding (Rover)
Daily ICU rounds with physicians, evaluating new consults, and intervening in acute patient care.
Opportunity to perform advanced procedures (arterial lines, intubations, central lines at bedside).
Rotate bedside coverage at four hospital locations: Immanuel, Lakeside, Mercy Council Bluffs, CUMC Bergan.
Average inpatient volume 10‑15 patients in morning; 2‑3 patients in afternoon.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, manage treatment plans, and document care in alignment with hospital protocol.
Collaborate with fellows and faculty in an academic center, participating in case discussions, teaching and continuous professional development.
EICU Support
Provide supplemental support with remote monitoring of critically ill patients across seven hospitals in the Nebraska/Iowa region.
Utilize advanced technology to assess patient data, respond to alarms, and facilitate timely interventions for rapid response to clinical changes.
Core eICU location near CUMC Bergan Mercy campus.

Job Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty.
A valid and unrestricted state license or license‑eligible.
A valid and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration.
Prior experience in critical care is highly desirable.
Pay Range
$61.00 - $71.52 per hour
