Job Summary and Responsibilities Virginia Mason Franciscan Health's Center for Cardiovascular Health is hiring a per diem Interventional Cardiologist for our Federal Way and Auburn, Washington locations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team recognized for excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes for patients throughout the Puget Sound, Kitsap Peninsula, and Olympic Peninsula. Physicians are attracted to the area because of the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest and great year‑round outdoor activities.

The cardiovascular service line includes fourteen Cardiologists, thirteen advanced practice practitioners, four interventional cardiologists, a structural cardiologist, three electrophysiologists, an advanced cardiac imager specializing in cardiac MRI, and an advanced heart failure cardiologist. The program has been recognized by the American Heart Association with multiple gold and platinum awards, and the American Thoracic Surgeons has awarded our cardiac surgeons with 3‑star awards throughout the history of the program. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has some of the highest PCI volumes in the state and is a leader for quality and outcomes. There is a robust structural heart program with TAVR and left atrial appendage occlusion. The local service line is complemented by two cardiothoracic surgeons, four cardiac anesthesiologists, three vascular surgeons, and thoracic surgery. The service line extends across an 11‑hospital system with three tertiary centers, and hosts the Virginia Mason Franciscan Cardiovascular Fellowship program.

Job Requirements

BC/BE; American Board of Cardiology.

Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.

Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority required for practice.

BLS required.
