Project Manager - Special Projects Group at Findorff. Findorff is an employee-owned construction firm with a history dating back to 1890, committed to quality and relationships in shaping communities. Responsibilities
Estimate and manage several construction projects concurrently, with project sizes ranging from $200,000 to $1,500,000 (averaging around $100,000). Oversee day-to-day construction management from pre-construction through project close. Prepare, distribute and track RFIs, construction bulletins, RFPs, and change documentation. Create and update project schedules and keep stakeholders informed. Manage closeout activities, including punch lists, change orders, contracts, permits, and owner occupancy details. Schedule and facilitate effective project meetings. Proactively manage procurement logs and submittal processes. Review shop drawings and samples. Incorporate virtual construction/BIM with projects. Prepare and manage contracts, permits, and approvals. Qualifications
Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills. Meticulous organizational skills. Team player who encourages collaboration. Strong mathematical aptitude. Strong analytical, problem-solving and mediation skills. Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Finance or related field (equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be considered). At least 7 years of experience in managing construction projects exceeding $100k. Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods. Understanding of the complexities and sequences of all construction activities. Knowledge of construction law, contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk management. Perks & Benefits
