Gray . Gray Construction is looking for a Project Executive to join their Advanced Technology Market in Dallas, TX.

Role and scope The Project Executive (PEX) is expected to serve as both a proactive leader and a strategic business developer. In operation, the PEX mentors team members, identifies and mitigates risks, and ensures effective management of project costs and schedules. In business development, the PEX contributes to Gray's growth by leveraging relationships to generate new opportunities and expand the business in the Phoenix area.
Responsibilities
Project Administration: Facilitate customer and team meetings, maintain detailed minutes and action-item registers, ensure start-up meetings are held, track and complete project action items, and ensure submittal reviews, status reports, closeout documents, and maintenance manuals are completed promptly. Visit project sites regularly.
Financial Performance: Monitor progress, identify issues early, implement corrective actions, and report to the Responsible Director, Responsible Regional Manager, or Responsible Vice President. Operate within budgetary limitations; develop proposals and execution strategy; oversee purchasing of materials, subcontracts, and services; manage change orders and review cost reports monthly.
Schedule Performance: Oversee the project master schedule, collaborate with Field Operations Managers, A/E Services, and MEP Services, document delays, justify extensions, and pursue corrective measures to adhere to or modify the schedule.
Risk Management: Understand contractual terms, promote safety and quality programs, develop and monitor the project risk management plan, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Relationship Management: Serve as primary customer contact and account manager, develop relationship management plans, coordinate with A/E Services, and maintain effective lines of communication among stakeholders.
Team Member Development: Mentor and train project staff, monitor team cohesiveness, and ensure adequate training is provided to project personnel.
Collaboration: Maintain a cooperative work environment with engineering, design, and construction teams; communicate progress with other Project Executives and leadership.
Administrative Authority: Understand that senior leadership may execute subcontract agreements, approve deviations, and authorize customer change orders. Lead planning, design, and execution across multiple projects.
Qualifications Education and experience requirements include:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; minimum ten years of related experience or training; combination of education and experience acceptable.
Minimum seven consecutive years of total profit and loss accountability on multiple projects.
Minimum five years of experience managing all disciplines of design/build or hard bid projects relevant to the market.
Experience with various contracting methods (lump sum, GMP, cost-plus, and fee-based construction) and understanding of contractual language.
Proven track record in increasing project profitability and knowledge of costs associated with engineering/design disciplines offered by Gray.
Ability to represent Gray as the primary contact in initial discussions; familiarity with costs and fees across disciplines; awareness of impacts from design/engineering/construction changes.
Experience managing projects with process or production equipment procurement/installation exceeding $2 million; familiarity with industrial projects including mission-critical and manufacturing sectors.
Mentoring capability for senior project managers, project managers, and other team members; ability to develop aggressive project schedules and cost estimates.
Strong relationship-building skills with owners, vendors, and stakeholders.
Language, math, and reasoning abilities suitable for business and technical communications; basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling/estimating tools.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documentation; ability to write reports and present information clearly.
Basic business math skills (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions; capable of handling multiple variables and projects.
Proficiency with common computer applications and scheduling/estimating tools as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment The role may require standing, walking, sitting, manual handling up to 50 pounds, and varying environments. Overtime may be required. Office environment typically with moderate noise and controlled temperature/humidity.
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise multiple team members and external resources.
