We are looking for a
Strategic Buyer (Indirect)
to support the Commodity Manager in ensuring material and service availability, driving supplier performance, cost reduction, spend compliance, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
Provide input on supplier scorecards and follow up on corrective actions.
Escalate risks and shortages promptly to the Commodity Manager.
Partner with the Commodity Manager to monitor supplier delivery, quality, and cost performance.
Place and manage purchase orders for assigned commodity suppliers.
Maintain ERP data integrity (lead times, pricing, order quantities) and conduct spend analysis.
Work with suppliers to confirm orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
Support RFQs, supplier selection, cost analysis, and simple contract negotiation.
Support ERP/materials planning processes by maintaining accurate lead times, pricing, and supplier master data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
2-5 years of procurement experience in aerospace & defense or manufacturing.
Strong ERP/MRP system skills; 2-5 years of P2P experience; S2P experience a plus.
Negotiation and supplier communication experience.
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP) a plus.
Understanding of commodity cost drivers and supply base dynamics.
Excellent communication and relationship skills.
Proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, or Oracle Analytics for procurement data analysis, spend visibility, and supplier performance reporting.

Supplier communication & relationship management – effective daily supplier interface.
Commodity knowledge – understands cost drivers, supplier capacity, and constraints.
Negotiation skills – ability to drive tactical cost savings and favorable terms.
Cross‑functional collaboration – works effectively with Quality, Engineering, and Program teams.
Execution discipline – ensures accuracy and timeliness in PO management.
A quick learner and team player.
Bonus or Equity This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range The salary range for this position is 71,100.00 – 132,100.00 (local currency).
ITAR Compliance Eligible candidates must either be U.S. Persons or secure necessary U.S. Government export authorizations. Ongoing employment depends on obtaining the appropriate authorizations.
