SPC Mechanical
The Fabrication Plumbing Foreman oversees field installation activities for plumbing systems on industrial and commercial construction projects. This role emphasizes productivity, quality, safety, and team leadership. The foreman works closely with project and Fabrication Supervisors to ensure timely and compliant installations.
Responsibilities:
Lead work crews in the plumbing / mechanical trade. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work. Monitors the work of employees for adherence to plans and specifications. Perform Pipe testing and document the necessary paperwork Read and fully understand Submittals/ Specs/Drawings Understanding of Plumbing equipment/Fixture detail per the contract drawings/Specifications Understand the function of a Plumbing / Mechanical system. Working knowledge and basic understanding of the plumbing code Acts as a working foreman to fit, cut, and install various piping systems Ability to motivate and lead a team of 20 people Knows and comply with company rules and regulations Working knowledge of Stratus, ACC, Blue Beam, ACC model viewer, HH2, Egnyte, and company email Follows and promotes a SPC safety-first job site Coaching and developing your team/crew Understanding/Enforcement of the OPS system (Tier zero trackers, Tier 1boards, and being able to run/back up the Tier 1 board) Leading the Development plan meeting with lower-tier employees. Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ industrial/commercial Plumbing / Mechanical experience. Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
